mail bag round-up

So, lets open tonight's mail bag.... I will pick this little gem entitled "guns rights terminated" forwarded to me by no less than 7 armed, angry, white folk (not quite a jury). My militia lovin', 2nd amendment, gun totin' broys and sissies in arms, are up in arms and emailing their "Fw. guns rights terminated" to everyone in their address book.

Considering the latest poll numbers; the self proclaimed "silent majority is hovering around 18% (interestingly, about the same as US illiterate rate). When these folks feel silenced... they unlock...and e-load! Frankly, it's an adorably dangerous thing to behold, and this week we hit the jackpot.

The Terminator-Govenator, Arnold SSchwarzenegger signed the dreaded "Act "into law. and according to the email it's time for some name callin', legislator huntin' and tea-baggin... again...ad naseam.

"By signing AB 962 into law, Schwarzenegger’s liberal Hollywood roots are once again showing through."

"Yes, the same guy who made millions sporting every weapon known to man in action flicks is mandating gun owners be treated like common criminals for exercising their Second Amendment right."

My victimized silent majority friends claim that Swartzie is dead wrong this time. Never-mind that the bill worked it's way up through the legislative process, and is a result of the California-populaces' efforts to make it more difficult for ammo-buyers; in hopes that gang related violence and senseless street killings might be curtailed.

I guess Gov. Schwartz isn't planning on seeking another term because true Red-Republican politicians never listen to their constituents. True repugs are beholden only to their deep pocket lobby groups, like the NRA, RNC....(or their mistresses...or gay lovers) ...(pssst... did you know Arnold is foreign born and married to a Kennedy)... booo...hisssss...

"what's happening to our 'once' great nation?"... booo hoooo it's so scary these days.

Dammit hollywood, freedom hater, Californiac, medical marijuana smoking, NAZIS! Who do you think you are? You have ruffled the feathers of the 18% illiterate right wing and they are my friends and now they are bombarding my inbox!

And...they are ready to fight for their 2nd amendment rights, which includes buying all the ammunition they want at dirt cheap prices and stock piling it in their basement, next to their 2yr supply of Cosco's 25 pound bags of rice.

To all my BFF's feeling marginalized in your own great nation, I admire how you are always clamoring for 'States Rights', especially in Georgia, (but never in California...they're gay). Tragically this battle was lost. ooOh well, keep unlocked and e-loaded and live to fill my inbox another day.

UEA, my favorite holiday

Being the faithful Union-paying member that I am, not only means $56.20 is deducted from my monthly paycheck, but in return, I  get a glorious, annual fall recess. It's not like I intentionally plan on sluffing the October Utah Education Association Fest;  in fact as the 2 day holiday approaches you'll find me pouring over their glossy brochures and highlighting the PPnP's (places, people and products) I intend to seek out.

The problem is, when it comes right down to it, I most often find something/anything more interesting to do...this year my alternative agenda consisted of playing with spiders, cleaning the hall closet, dusting the ceiling fans,  making 3 gallons of apple cider, visiting my niece in the hospital (twice), anxiously waiting around to take "after" pictures of myJoe's crew cut, and looking after mysweet 'lil EddieAnne.

...and now I'm off to Provo, to hang out with the folks.

myJoseph is joining the NAVY...he cares a lot...

I haven't wanted to say anything until I was certain he was serious. He announced it to us on his 22nd birthday (last Sunday)...Joey is joining the NAVY and is scheduled to take the oath on Monday.  Don't ask me how I feel about it, because I'm not sure and besides, it really doesn't matter. I love him very much and support his decision...Doesn't he looks mighty nice sporting his new military haircut?
