various random suckiness

The newspaper was seriously depressing this morning. The economy sucks, Iran sucks, North Korea sucks, H1N1 sucks, Southeastern Utah thieves who are also cowardly-suicide-commit-ors really suck. Sen. Hatch sucks and so does Bennett. Hilary fell and broke her elbow...not only sucks, but most painfully sucks! Okay, so what doesn't suck? Great question! Let's see, in spite of a week-long rainstorm (that sucked) we still managed to build a raised garden-mud-spot which required 6 cubic yards of dirt; promptly delivered, during a downpour, onto our driveway, by a company called "Dirty Deeds, Dirt Cheap". I would have taken pictures but it was all we could do to keep the pile from mudsliding down the street and annihilating the neighborhood...Anyhow, we now are growing an assortment of peppers, tomatoes, cabbage, pumpkin, squash and tobacco. (tobacco is suppose to eliminate the need for pesticide). Aware that our garden is getting a late start, I have turned the remaining growing season over to "OMG"(operation miracle grow). Tuesday was one of the least suckiest days of the week; BFF Lisa and I went to Orem to see my folks. Later that day, we went to the "Tin Angel Cafe". Its a little establishment directly south of Pioneer Park. Their food is mostly locally grown, and seriously, I could feel the farmer's sand and love still clinging to the spinach greens of my very generous portion of beet salad. The atmosphere was eclectic, unique and charming, with wonderful pest free outside seating and great service. However, I will only award it a 2 stars... the beer was warm.. (and that totally sucks!)
